Before we dive into mini-lessons on Day 2, we will spend some time reflecting on the qualities of meaningful and effective feedback. As adult learners, you have lots of experience with this already, so we will draw heavily from your wisdom!
In the minutes after you've completed delivering your mini lesson, you'll have some time to take a break, take care of yourself, and reflect. The rest of us will write down feedback that you can revisit later if that's helpful to you. The feedback forms look just like this.

Next, we'll dive into discussion.
Remember, the whole purpose of this workshop is to develop your skills. That means we don't expect perfection. In fact, if you deliver a "perfect" lesson, we will challenge you to try something new and take some risks on Day 3. If you're not stretching out of your comfort zone, you're not learning anything new.
- You get to talk first! We'll ask you, "What went well? What are you proud of?"
- Then we'll ask the group, "What do you think went well? What did you appreciate about that mini lesson?"
- Then we'll turn it back to you again: "What did you learn from doing that? What might you shift for next time?"
- The group will then have an opportunity to speak: "What might the presenter consider? What suggestions might you have?"
